Stripping and painting of the lower garage eliminated the rust and corrosion
already clearly evident in the lower garage. This project was a major effort but was necessary to prevent damage to
the support structure of the garage as well as to beautify the lower garage. In the future, close inspection for recurrence
of rust on these beams will be conducted to ensure that the salt air that accompanies La Jolla de Rosarito does no more damage
to the steel structure.
In addition to sandblasting and painting of the garage supports, a drainage system was
conceived and installed by our Maintenance Man Mese, to channel rainwater that had, in the past, freely run through the separation
in the upper garage floor and corroded some of the structure with additional rust.
